Well, it happened. After our first two Demi-at-Cannes posts, we predicted that our coverage of her this week was going to wind up being all about her hair and here she is, out in public looking like a bag of hair.

Honestly, we love the dress. It’s striking as hell and it manages that trick that so few designs manage of making wrinkled satin look chic and deliberate. The color looks amazing on her and the shape is genuinely interesting and eye-catching. But man, if ever a frock was designed for a cunty little bob, this would be the one. At the very least, it calls for an up do. Just shoving your three feet of tresses into it like a shopping bag looks ill-considered at the very least. We won’t claim she doesn’t look gorgeous, but this would all look so much better with short hair or an up do.
