The great thing about Michelle Yeoh – one of many great things about her, rather – is that we never know what kind of style she’s going to work from one minute to the next. We wouldn’t say she’s inconsistent, nor would we claim she’s wild in her choices, but she really does like to surprise people. Why are we mentioning this now?
Surprise! INSANE boots! We’re going to go out on a limb here and suggest that thigh-high ruffled leather platform boots with a stiletto heel are not the kind of thing we’re likely to embrace wholeheartedly. The description alone sounds tacky as hell. But the styling here could not be more perfect for them. Everything is kept low-key, but avoids looking generic. And the glasses are the perfect “not taking this too seriously” touch that lends the look its playful feel. She really nailed this on — and we still aren’t sure we’d like those boots on anyone else.
