Life and labor disputes have conspired to deliver unto us two major awards ceremonies in the space of 48 hours, which means you need to settle in for a lot of red carpetry and a lot of mashup posts like this one. Beef star Ali Wong is having herself a fantastic awards season, picking up trophy after trophy. She’s always had a typical comedian’s style, which is to say loud and quirky, but unlike a lot of comics, she seems to really enjoy fashion. Having said that…

We don’t always love the kinds of things she loves. We give her credit for navigating the highest levels of fashion and staying somewhat on trend while still indulging her love of declarative, slightly off fashion. The color is gorgeous and we love the floral detail at the bust, but her arms look restricted and the rest of the dress comes off flimsy rather than floaty.

In our Cosmopolitan writeup, we said that this looked like a random meeting of parts from two other dresses. Rather than use the Frankendress term we coined for unholy fashion hybrids, we’re dubbing this one the Adultery Dress, because it feels like that bodice and that skirt are cheating on their spouses with each other. Anyway, each of these two cheaters look fine on their own, but they have no business being paired up.
