We are honestly kind of happy to see that Prince Timmée showed up for the Wonka Los Angeles premiere wearing something that couldn’t be confused for his character’s costumes.

In the wake of Margot Robbie’s instantly legendary Barbie promo tour, the pressure for stars to dress like their characters must be pretty high at the moment, especially if those characters have distinct, definable styles. He could have hit every premiere and photo call in candy-colored velvets and waistcoats, but instead, he’s hitting that red carpet looking like a rock star. We can’t say we’re in love with an alligator-skin suit as a concept, but we can’t deny he’s working the hell out of it.
