Earlier this week she wore an ensemble so awful that we still haven’t gotten over it. We’re sensitive that way – but also, it really was a hideously over-wrought thing. We’ve also been complaining more than usual lately regarding the overuse of all-black outfits in red carpet situations. Most of the time, they’re boring, inscrutable and unphotogenic. But here she is, in something clean and chic and entirely rendered in black. Our mouths, they are shut. She tends to favor really sparkly and boldly colorful styles, so this makes for a nice change of pace. We love how the satin and matte fabrics play with each other. It’s eye-catching without being loud about it. We seem to be saying this a lot lately (and we’re starting to wonder if it’s a result of the strike highlighting massive pay disparities), but it needs more jewelry.
