In this week’s podcast, we review Cher’s new Christmas album. No, really! It was Lorenzo’s idea and it turns out we had a lot to say about pop stars and Christmas music and where this latest entry fits in the vast catalog of options. Not surprisingly, we don’t entirely agree! Then, we stage a little Lady Gaga style retrospective, inspired largely by the very Bowie-esque look she wore on stage with the Rolling Stones last night, which inspired us to talk about how she uses fashion to pay homage to her elders, whether we’re talking about Tony Bennett, Liza, Barbra, Mick Jagger or even Joe Biden and Donatella Versace. At her heart, she’s a good Italian girl who likes to be respectful.
And finally, we check in on the latest goings-on surrounding the SAG-AFTRA strike, including George Clooney’s somewhat self-serving offer and why Fran Drescher had to shoot it down. Thank you for listening, darlings!
