We always temper our bitchy critiques for opening night red carpets. The vibe is just so different from a movie premiere. There’s way less of a sense of glamour permeating the proceedings, partially because the stars of the play are still coming down from the high of being onstage. It’s always fun when they’re still sporting their stage makeup at the opening night party. That’s how you know they were flooded with well-wishers after the show. It’s like holding a premiere red carpet with the stars of a film an hour after they completed their final day of shooting. And if we’re talking about a supporter of the play rather than a player, we have even less reason to get snotty about their style. Having said all that, Rachel Brosnahan stopped by to show her support on the opening night of JOB off Broadway, and we kind of love her autumnal suit.
We just wish she’d buttoned the jacket and paired it with an espresso brown, black, or even a brick red top. That beige one does nothing for it. See? That wasn’t too bitchy of us.
