We were just about to get all limbered up and ready to dive into Margot Robbie’s Barbie promo style, but we completely forgot that she’s also in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, which opens next week. We’ll have to wait to see if she’s going to go all-in on Barbie theme dressing for that promo tour, but we kinda think this little Schiaparelli number is a lot more fashion doll-cutesy than her normal (usually Chanel) style.

We…almost like it? It seems to us that the silhouette goes a little far into awkward territory; like, if you just reduced the exagerration of the hips by 20 percent or so, this would be cute. And since we’re being so precise and nitpicky in our bitchery, we may as well go ahead and suggest that the skirt would be better if it wasn’t so shiny. Still, it’s a playful, cute look. We tend to default to the “needs more jewelry” critique, but we’re not so sure it applies here.
