You certainly can’t fault They Cloned Tyrone star John Boyega for failing to commit to the bit. He managed three different looks and two different hairstyles as he hit the red carpet over and over again for the film’s Miami premiere. We’re impressed. To be fair, he kept two of the looks very simple and Miami-appropriate.
John Boyega in Versace
In its own way, it’s a classic look, but we really wish the pants had been hemmed and he’d opted for some kicks instead of whatever those things on his feet are. To be fair, when you’ve got costume changes going on, concessions must be made, we suppose.
Those ugly shoes make a little bit more sense with this look, for instance. It’s…kind of interesting? We can’t help thinking he’s pretty much dressing as his character(s), so we’ll lay off the fashion critiques.
Even so, this is a great look, top to bottom. The pants are the right length and the footwear is perfect. He looks great here.
Teyonah Parris in L’Idée
Okay, this is pure fabulous, sexy fun. Everything is just a little too much, in a really glorious, totally balanced way. In other words, we think you need that hair and those sleeves to have that bag and those shoes make perfect sense. It helps that she clearly loves it and is working the hell out of it. We just don’t love that waist seam. We can’t wait to see her bring this kind of energy to a big, glitzy MCU premiere red carpet when The Marvels opens this fall.
