Sir, we salute and thank you. This year’s theme wound up toning down a lot of the clownery and costumes that have defined the Met Gala in recent years, allowing the attendees to lean more fully into serving the kinds of chic, high-end fashion that Lagerfeld championed his whole career. This may not be as outrageous as people might wish the Met Gala to be, but we think it’s hot, chic, and cheekily fun. The boots, socks and shorts are perfect in combination and the coat is drool-worthy.
