Anne Hathaway is so clearly in her “Mother is serving” era and we love that for her.
It’s such a fabulous throwback to the ’90s supermodel era and a tribute to the houses of Lagerfeld and Versace at the same time. In shape and embellishment, it’s evoking the iconic Versace safety pin dress, but it’s rendered in a Chanel-inspired tweed with a Chanel-derived camellia-shaped bust. To be fair, we don’t love every aspect (like that bust), but the whole look is such a head-turning serve and a clever homage to both Gianni and Karl.
