Ben and Jen stepped out onto the red carpet for the LA premiere of her Netflix movie Mother, and we’ve gotta say, it turned out to be the one thing you never want a Bennifer appearance to be.

Extremely boring. Downright generic. This is not what we want to see from our A-list celebrity couples. Where is the sparkle? The fire? The tackiness? Why are we looking at neutrals, for God’s sake? It’s not that they necessarily look bad – his suit is quite nice and her ensemble could have a breezy sort of chicness to it if it were styled better – but it’s disappointing to have the feeling that Ben and Jennifer are phoning it in. Then again, this doesn’t exactly look like a prestige project, so maybe they just want to cash the check, fulfill whatever obligations they have, and move on to the next thing.
