Even though we’re giving you guys the final call on this one, we’re just gonna state straight out that we love it.
It’s dramatic and cartoony and impossible to miss. There’s entirely too much purple going on and it’s shimmery, with some sweat-inducing gloves, shoulders out to there, and a sheer corset bodice. There are, to be clear, a lot of reasons to hate this dress. And yet we think the lady is serving. You want your Cannes red carpet looks to be dramatic and unforgettable. No one will admit it, but there’s definitely a competitive nature to how international stars approach this event. A whole bunch of ladies are trying to outdo a whole bunch of other ladies. For us, this is a sharp, fun, memorable entry in the race. How about you?
