For once, we’re going to be completely decisive in an IN or OUT post. For once, we don’t need you to convince us of a look’s goodness or badness because we can’t make up our minds. No, kittens. There’s one thing we should make clear before we hand the final judgment over to you.

We LOVE this. Full stop. But because we’re kind-hearted and open-minded souls, we’re going to toss this out to y’all, just because we think it’s slightly challenging, as red carpet looks go. First, we love that it doesn’t even come close to evoking Tinker Bell. Had she gone the theme-dressing route, things could’ve gotten overly cute very quickly. The blue-gray color is really captivating on her. The silver disco boots are fun way of giving the look the kind of sparkle and whimsy you might expect, without lapsing into cosplay. But of course, the part that we think will inspire the most discussion is that knotted waist. We confess to absolutely loathing knots, twists and braids as fashion elements nine time out of ten, but for whatever reasons, this really works for us. They add a sense of volume and formality to the dress while it remains modern and streamlined. It works for us. Does it work for you? Put another way…
