The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey fully enters her Disney Princess period as she put on the sweetest little frock you ever saw and showed up at the White House Easter Egg Roll as this year’s guest reader. She read two books to the kids in attendance: The Little Mermaid: Make a Splash (appropriately enough) by Ashley Franklin and Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry.

You just can’t get more springtime than that. It’s sweetly retro, but with just enough of a glam factor to remind you that she’s a star. We particularly like the color story, which is slightly atypical for such an Easter Sunday kind of dress. It’s got that light, floral feel to it, but the colors are bolder than the pastels you might expect for a style like this. She looks gorgeous. We can’t wait to see what she does when this film goes into its press tour.
