Elais Restaurant – Mykonos, Greece
It is FRIDAY, darlings. Let’s all take a moment to appreciate that. Actually, no. To hell with that. Let’s take all day to appreciate that. Have a seat, someone stunning will be by shortly to grant your wishes.
Italian Chefs Share the Ingredients They Always Keep in Their Kitchens
Pasta and Parm are just the beginning.
Certain Italian ingredients have become staples in American kitchens. But extra-virgin olive oil and San Marzano tomatoes only scratch the surface of Italy’s diverse pantry.
From fish sauce to fennel pollen, the country’s specialty products span regions and flavor profiles. Many are instrumental in the l’arte di arrangiarsi, or “the art of making do” — creating complex dishes from simple ingredients and techniques. To help you apply this cooking philosophy at home, we asked Italian chefs to share the staples they always keep in their kitchens.
The rise of the anti-romcom: have we all become too cynical for love?
From Splitsville to The Drama, reverse romcoms are all the rage.
A hazy New York skyline. A dreamy, jazzy score. A floppy haired Brit in chunky glasses with a lopsided grin (Charlie, played by Robert Pattinson) spies a beautiful American (Emma, played by Zendaya) reading in a coffee shop. It’s the perfect meet cute — you can almost see the shadows of Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts on the screen. But here is where the romance and comedy end and the drama with a capital D begins. Because Kristoffer Borgli’s The Drama is proud to be firmly, resolutely anti-romcom.
After the awkward, stammering meet cute, the string of joyful dates, the picturesque proposal, this perfect little love story takes a turn. In case you haven’t heard, The Drama hinges around a major plot twist — the kind of plot twist designed to get the entire internet locked in fierce ethical debate. I won’t spoil it, but Emma has a big, dark secret — and it’s just about as aggressively shocking and morally confronting as it could be. Suddenly, after spending all of this time rooting for our two romantic leads, we find ourselves watching on in horror (and a bit of gawking, jaw-dropped delight) as their wedding plans descend into unhinged emotional chaos.
Your-Lashes-But-Better? Beauty Editors Swear By These Brown Mascaras For A Soft And Fluttery Finish
In the quest to perfect the ‘no-make-up’ look, chocolate hues are overtaking classic black formulas.
Digging into the make-up bags of Hollywood’s chicest women has taught us a lot about perfecting that glowing post-holiday make-up look. And while we’re all here for faux bronze, freckled bases and that two-weeks-on-a-yacht-in-Mallorca supermodel gleam, more often than not what we’re really looking for is a straightforward summer switch-up to keep our faces looking fresh. Cue the natural lash shortcut making a rife appearance in every starlet’s make-up routine right now: brown mascara.
Whether you’re looking for a waterproof mascara to last through cinema tears, tubing technology to make your evening wind down totally effortless, or a simple colour switch-up that whispers not shouts, a brown mascara is the product you seek.
Netflix Is Releasing 6 Thrillers Packed With A-List Stars In April. Here’s When You Can Watch Them
Get seated and ready for some new favourites.
Netflix has brought us some of the best thrillers around over the last few years – and the streamer shows no sign of slowing down this month.
From cartoon thrillers (yes, it’s a thing) to A List-led movies to a return of a much-loved series, in April there are plenty of thrillers to keep you busy. That’s if you’ve completed all the new thrillers they had to throw at you in March such as Detective Hole and Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen.
If you’re looking for your next thriller watch, here’s what’s coming on Netflix to get in the diary.
Say Hello (Again) to the Peep-Toe Sandal—The Season’s Must-Have Shoe Style
The Noughties staple is back, and fashion people can’t get enough
Lazy fashion fans, I have some bad news. The feet we have all been so diligently hiding under boots and trainers for the past few months are about to make an appearance, because peep-toe sandals are officially trending. So yes, the time has come to actually book that pedicure (or, you know, just do it yourself).
Of course, this is far from the first time we’ve seen this particular style in the spotlight. The peep-toe’s heyday was in the 1940s, and the early 2000s brought with it a pretty impressive revival, too—sky-high platforms and spaghetti-thin stiletto heels included. Really, it’s a wonder more of us didn’t break an ankle.
The Cast Of Netflix Thriller ‘Detective Hole’: From ‘The White Lotus’ Stars To Hollywood A-Listers
Based on Jo Nesbø’s books, the series is racing up the Netflix charts.
If you love a Scandi thriller, you’ll know Netflix is a good place to be – and now, they’ve added a new series to their roster in adapting Jo Nesbø’s incredibly popular novels for TV and creating Detective Hole.
Following the story of his famous and beloved detective, Harry Hole, the series is available in the UK dubbed or with subtitles (we’d definitely recommend subtitles to avoid annoying lip and word mismatches – plus bonus, you literally can’t scroll and watch) and follows him solving a series of violent crimes in Oslo, Norway.
15 Stylish Bridesmaid Dresses You’ll Actually Want to Wear Again
Including stylish picks in the season’s trending butter yellow, dusty pink and champagne shades
Recently, my Whatsapp group chats have been filled with engagement announcements, first house purchases and baby scan photos. Call it the ‘turning-30 effect’—or in my case, turning 33… And with it comes a whole host of questions, including, very importantly, where to find the best bridesmaid dresses. So, I’ve made it something of a habit to pitch in wherever I can, sourcing options that we’d all actually want to wear again.
Now I’m here to share everything I’ve learned. There’s a lot to consider when choosing bridesmaid dresses—certainly more so than when choosing a wedding guest dress—largely because if you’re dressing multiple people in the same thing, the dress has to be a genuine crowd-pleaser.
Sunbathing, Souvlaki, and Sacred Temples—This Is the Best Way to Do Athens Now
It’s a sunny October morning at the archaeological site of Sounion—situated at the southernmost point of the Attic Peninsula, where the Greek mainland stretches longingly towards the Cyclades—and I’m sitting cross-legged, in silence. It’s still early enough that the tour groups in their buses haven’t arrived yet, and I’m cooled by the shadow of the Temple of Poseidon just behind me, a nearly 2,500-year-old wonder of crumbling white marble dedicated to the ancient god of the sea. I don’t think I’ve ever felt the presence of the past so palpably as I do then: my hair whipped by the breeze as I gaze across the Adriatic, the sound of waves gently crashing against the rocks below, seagulls squalling overhead.
I Used Daylight Saving As A Gentle Wellness Reset—And My Energy Noticeably Shifted
Small, realistic shifts for better sleep, steadier energy, and a calmer mood.
By the time the clocks go forward each spring, I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s ready to wave goodbye to winter and welcome warmer days and lighter nights. But as a long-term insomniac, losing an hour’s sleep really throws me every year. My energy dips, my sleep feels disjointed, and it can take days before my body settles back into its usual rhythm.
And if you’ve been feeling a little out of sorts since the clocks changed last weekend, you’re certainly not alone. Research shows that even a one-hour shift can knock your body out of sync. A systematic review, published in Sleep Medicine Reviews, found that the spring forward transition is consistently linked with shorter sleep, poorer sleep quality, and increased daytime sleepiness, particularly in people who already struggle with sleep. Something I found surprisingly reassuring.
Aperol Spritz Nails Are the Orange Mani Trend to Try This Summer
Two feelings that are tough to beat: The first sip of your favorite summer cocktail, and the first vibrant mani you get to welcome the season. Aperol Spritz nails combine the best of both worlds—and the trend has us convinced that orange will be the nail color of the summer.
To be clear, bright orange hues were already having a moment in 2026. Just ask Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, who set the tone by walking the red carpet in Marty Supreme monochrome (down to Kylie’s nails). Other stars have also cosigned the orange mani recently, from Selena Gomez’s blood orange set to Taylor Swift’s sparkling cinnamon Life of a Showgirl nails.
If You’re Time Poor but Want Perfectly Bronzed Skin, These Tanning Mists Are Worth the Investment
I won’t use any other fake tan
I’ve never been one to fake tan regularly, but one thing I have always committed to is using a tanning mist several times a week. Even when the rest of my body is pale and dull, a few spritzes of a liquid tan across my face works small miracles. It’s the one step that always makes me feel revived when I need it.
Over the years, I’ve amassed quite the collection of tanning mists. Not only that, but I’ve become very picky with the mists I use—only the very best make it into my rotation. Fake tan for your face is to be taken seriously in my book; it’s the first thing people are likely to notice when it’s gone wrong, and there’s no chance I’m using a formula that can break me out or clog my pores.
You Could Be Overpaying for Coffee — Here’s the Case for Buying in Bulk
It could save you up to 32%.
We’ve all felt the rising costs of everyday goods, and coffee is certainly no exception. Tariffs have significantly increased the prices of coffee beans. But did you know that many coffee roasters offer beans not just in the standard 12-ounce bags, but also in two-pound and five-pound bags at significant savings?
For Tectonic Coffee Company’s signature Drift Blend, a 12-ounce bag costs $23.75 (or $1.98 per ounce). A five-pound bag brings the per-ounce cost to $1.35, a 32% savings. Even a one-kilogram bag (approximately 2.2 pounds) comes with 28% savings per ounce when compared to the 12-ounce bag.
Textured Bags Are Staking Their Claim As Spring’s Must-Have Accessory. Here’s The 12 Best To Buy Now
Move over suede, calf hair bags are taking the spotlight.
The past few seasons have no doubt been all about suede, but if the AW26 runways are an indicator, tactility is about to be the biggest material trend we see emerging. From luxe leathers and stacked sequins to ultra-fluffy feathers and fiberglass, materiality is the new luxury in the digital age.
Enter: calf hair. Nothing new, to be sure, but calf hair (also semi-synonymous with pony hair) is the perfect middle ground between the materiality on the runway and the practicality of everyday dressing. It’s a subtle way to experiment with tactility and, even better, it’s sprouting up more and more in jackets, shoes, and, you guessed it, handbags.
How to use argan oil for hair, according to hairstylists
There’s a fine line between shiny and greasy.
Hair oils are often referred to as liquid gold for dry, damaged hair. But how to use argan oil for hair correctly still throws up a lot of questions.
Made by cold-pressing kernels from Moroccan argan trees, the oil is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E – nutrients that help to restore moisture, boost shine and improve the strength of strands.
Is It Wrong to Write a Book With A.I.?
The nature of authorship isn’t as straightforward as it seems.
It seems inevitable that writers will use A.I. to start their own factories. In February, in the Times, Alexandra Alter interviewed Coral Hart, a pseudonymous romance novelist who has used A.I. tools to speed-write hundreds of novels, which she’s self-published on Amazon under dozens of names. After Hart prompts her system into motion, it can produce, in forty-five minutes, a draft ready for human revision (about, for example, “a rancher who falls for a city girl running away from her past”). Although none of Hart’s novels have been best-sellers, she makes “six figures” through her method, Alter reports, and also offers online classes for aspiring A.I.-assisted romance novelists.
Netflix Already Has Two New ‘Peaky Blinders’ Series — and a New Duke Shelby
‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man,’ starring Barry Keoghan as Tommy Shelby’s (Cillian Murphy) bastard son Duke, premiered on Netflix just 13 days ago.
By order of Netflix, there’s a new Peaky Blinders series coming. Two, actually.
The original Peaky Blinders, a BBC series, did very well on the global streaming service — so well that Netflix greenlit an original film to serve as its sequel. The two new series are set 10 years after Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, itself set six years after the conclusion of the first series.
The new shows are getting a new Duke Shelby: Jamie Bell (pictured above, left) will take the role over from The Immortal Man‘s Duke, Barry Keoghan (right), who is probably just too busy (and/or too big a rising star). News of the new series — and of the new Duke — came all of 13 days after Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man debuted on Netflix. It preceded the streaming debut with a two-week run in movie theaters.
Olivia Rodrigo Announces Third Album ‘You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love’ & Release Date
“I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait for you to hear it,” the singer wrote.
Olivia Rodrigo fans won’t be sad at all to hear this news: On Thursday (April 2), the singer announced that her highly anticipated third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, is dropping this summer.
Sharing the album’s dreamy cover — a photo of Rodrigo leaning backward on a swing, backdropped by a pale blue sky — the Grammy winner wrote on Instagram, “my third album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ is out June 12th.”
“I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait for you to hear it,” she continued. “available for preorder now!”
Can a star Shakespeare role really transform an actor’s career?
Kit Conor and Tom Holland reminded the world of their acting prowess by taking on Romeo. Tatler cover star Noah Jupe follows in their footsteps
‘Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?’ Romeo, as it happens, has been everywhere lately. Tatler cover star Noah Jupe takes on the title – fresh from a role in the Oscar-sweeping Hamnet – alongside Sadie Sink at the Harold Pinter Theatre until June. The summer before last, the West End’s hottest ticket was to see Tom Holland play the young lover in Jamie Lloyd’s headline-hitting production. Later that year, Broadway was clamouring to see Heartstopper’s Kit Connor in the lead. Yes, these British boys are taking over Shakespeare, bringing a breath of fresh air to the Bard.
Does Cold Water Shrink Clothes? Here’s What to Know
Keep your clothes fitting just right.
There’s nothing quite as disappointing as pulling a sweater from the wash only to find that it has shrunk to child-like proportions. It’s a common laundry complaint—and one that’s often blamed on water temperature. But does washing clothes in cold water really shrink them? Understanding what really happens to the fabric in the wash is the key to keeping your clothes looking their best.
To demystify the process, we chatted with two laundry experts who explain whether cold water is to blame for shrinkage, what causes fibers to contract, and what you can do to prevent it.

This Utah State Park Has Pink Sand Dunes That Look Otherworldly—Plus Massive Hills and Spectacular Sunsets
If you’ve already visited Utah’s “Mighty Five,” you’ll want to check out Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park next.
“Otherworldly” is often used to describe beautiful places around the world, from driftwood beaches and volcanic wonders to polar landscapes and multicolored rock formations. But this word perfectly encapsulates the scene you’ll find at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in southwestern Utah.
Situated 6,000 feet above sea level, the 3,730-acre Utah state park is known for its gorgeous pink dunes, which are particularly striking at sunset. If you’re familiar with the red rock country synonymous with southwestern U.S. states like Nevada and Arizona, you may immediately see the resemblance. The sand here was created by the erosion of nearby Navajo sandstone, and the rock gets its reddish-orange color from the iron oxide mineral hematite.
