Darlings, we hate to admit it, but those problematic bitches Dolce & Gabbana have done it again. Penélope Cruz hit the Goya Awards red carpet in a custom D&G gown and we are forced admit that it’s pretty stunning. Dammit.
We still don’t love foundation garment-inspired elements in a formal gown and we still think black lace should be deployed very sparingly for the red carpet, but there’s no denying that the overall effect is gorgeous. That skirt is stunning. And if a Spanish movie star can’t wear black lace on the Goya Awards red carpet, then what is black lace even for? There’s a time and place for everything in fashion and this was definitely the time and the place for this gown. Gorgeous jewelry, but we’d have liked a pendant or even a choker.
