Till star Danielle Deadwyler doesn’t have the high-profile media footprints of some of the other Oscar nominee frontrunners, but that hasn’t stopped her from quietly doing the work of campaigning by showing up and serving lewks.

That clearly defined waist is just about the only aspect of this design that keeps the dress from looking like a giant shower puff. We like the skirt, which is a bit of a surprise for us since we tend to hate ruffled, tiered dresses or skirts. The bodice is exuberant, but it has a bit of a fungal quality to it that doesn’t appeal to us. The styling is pretty much dead perfect, with subdued hair and a couple of statement jewelry pieces balancing out the look nicely. We’re not crazy about the black satin pumps, though. We tend to think this dress would look better paired with sandals.

Absolutely gorgeous. She looks like a painting. The design, textile and color all look amazing on her. We love that neckline. It’s a shame that the bust appears to be a little tight on her, because the look is flawless otherwise. Hair and makeup are stunning.
