Elton John’s ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ Tour at Dodger Stadium Red Carpet Rundown

We interrupt all this gowny coverage of the Governors Awards for an event no less glamorous, but quite a bit less formal. The stars came out for Sir Elton John’s farewell tour appearance at Dodger Stadium – and some of them even served looks, because they know you can’t show up for Sir Elton unless you come correct. Others… did not dress for the cameras, let’s say. Since this isn’t quite a self-promotion event, we’ll be uncharacteristically lenient and kind. Maybe.

LOVE the jacket, LOVELOVELOVE the boots. It’s a perfect, non-literal homage to the man of the hour without looking like a costume.

She’s just here to dance to “Benny and the Jets” and that’s fine. Having said that, it’s a really nice coat. The pants are… Elton adjacent.

Big flex here, but she shared the stage with Elton for a couple of duets, so she’s just meeting him at his level. It’s dramatic and gorgeous without pulling focus or making it about her.

We can’t say we love it, but we also can’t say it’s wrong for her or wrong for the occasion.

She was never going to come quietly.

To our surprise, this all really works for us. It’s as low-key as a look gets, but there’s a certain quiet casual chic about it. Yes, we know that’s a sweatshirt. What can we say? She’s pulling it off.

It’s a cute enough outfit, but that jacket looks awfully business-like for a concert.

He’s just here to sing along to “Rocket Man.”

This is adorable.
