Hey, remember when we said that Good Lady Cate was really good about dressing according to where she is? And remember when we also said that we can tell that awards season is kicking off because GLC is wearing multiple outfits a day? Well, both of those factors came into play for her visit to The Late Show. Not in a good way, we’re sorry to report.

Yes, there is definitely a bit of a New York fashion sort of vibe to it and yes, this is what happens when you cycle through several attention-seeking looks a day for a full week. In other words, sometimes you land on one that doesn’t quite sing. She’s Good Lady Cate, so she can do a lot with a little or make something awkward come off elegant, but her powers are being tested with this one. There’s no video for her appearance yet so it remains to be seen how it looked on set. The design isn’t a disaster, but the white parts of it look terrible. Killer booties, though.
