Claire Foy hopped on a plane, leaving most of her American and Canadian Women Talking cast mates behind her in New York so she could meet up with her fellow British co-stars at the film’s BFI London Film Festival premiere. We stan a globe-hopping star working the promo trail.
They look cute together, but we have a theory that Ben Whishaw makes everything cute just by standing next to it. There’s a reason he does Paddington’s voice. He’s pretty much the human embodiment of the beloved bear.

Adorable. Perhaps not as dressy as it could have been, but we’re willing to forgive because it’s clearly a well put-together look that suits him. LOVE the pearl earring.

She had some rather disastrous red carpet forays last year promoting The Lost Daughter, which makes us feel a little more kindly toward this latest effort. It’s not so much that we love every detail of this dress as we love that she’s embracing shape and color and personality. We’re still a little traumatized by the dreariness of her Oscars look, so we can’t help but see this as a step in the right direction. We don’t necessarily think this twee, fairy-tale style is the best one for her, but anything that allows her to come off expressive and interesting rather than depressed and receding is a good way to go.

It’s simple, but elegant, with enough sparkle in the right places and amounts to keep it glam enough for a red carpet. Having gone through thousands of red carpet pictures of her over the years, there’s something we know that you may not know about Claire Foy:
She has absolutely no chill whatsoever when it comes to posing for pictures. You expect her to be this restrained English Rose type given her resume, and instead, she’s a total dork. It’s honestly kind of hilarious.
