Venice Film Festival 2022: THE SON Star Vanessa Kirby in Valentino Couture

Looking back over her red carpet career, we can say that we very rarely fully agreed with Vanessa Kirby’s style choices. She likes to go for drama, which we appreciate, but she often goes for somewhat goofy designs or colors that do nothing for her.

This is a LOT for a photo call. It’s a lot, period. We keep staring at it, trying to zero in on what it is that doesn’t work for us and we’ve come to the conclusion that none of it does. The color looks great, but the shape and length of that skirt doesn’t really pair well with that bra top. The floral detail is wildly overdone. If we had a magic wand, we’d make that skirt longer and a little fuller, remove the flowers from it, and make the bust flowers a little smaller. But really, we don’t think the style suits her at all.

We think this style suits her more but that greige neutral is terrible for her coloring. We appreciate the head-turning quality of these looks, but we think her instincts are not great.
