The Sanderson sisters are back on the (not-as-big) screen and back on the red carpet together to celebrate/promote the moment.

This is where we admit we’ve never seen Hocus Pocus and whatever clips we’ve been exposed to over the years has not fostered a desire to correct that. But the film has its ardent fans and if you’re all excited for this followup tale, we wish you well. We remain confused by it. Anyway, don’t they all look kinda great? Even if we have some complaints to make? Which we will be getting to presently?

Oh, we forgot to mention that a metric fuck-tonne of drag queens were also in attendance, but that almost goes without saying, does it not? We hope real dollars came out of the Disney promotional budget to pay for all their tucking panties. Anyway, Kathy looks great but we loath the cutouts on this dress, even if she is handling them just fine. We don’t even know how anyone above a certain cup size doesn’t have bulge issues with a boob eye cutouts, but we have to give props to the fit and foundation garment situation because everything is exactly where it’s supposed to be for a dress like this.

This is a pretty spectacular dress and we love that she chose a Christopher John Rogers design. We can’t say we love the rainbow stripes. They just don’t feel all that well integrated to the design. We also don’t think the head wrap is suited to her or necessary for the look.

We like the idea of this more than the reality of it. Sarah Jessica Parker has worn more high fashion (and high heels) than most of her acting contemporaries. She was a red carpet mainstay back before the idea of red carpet commentary was even invented. We fully support her entering a public pajama phase in her style evolution. We’d say she’s earned the comfort, but then again, haven’t we all? Our point here: we just don’t like any of the textiles and we don’t think the color story flatters her.
