Did we clap our little gay hands with glee at these pictures? Maybe. A little. Was it because we’re in love with what Julianne Moore is wearing here? Enh. Not really. Oh, it’s fine enough:
A perfect little disembarking ensemble, we’d say. She’s comfortable and she’s wearing something practical, but it’s also mildly photogenic and – this part’s really important – from an Italian design house. These things matter at the Venice Film Festival, you see. No one would be turned away for showing up in, say, Chanel, but the press will be much kinder if you show up all alta moda. LOVE the bag. As for why we clapped with glee, it’s the Venice Film Festival, silly; when all the stars show up working their best breezily fashionable looks. This year’s festival is said to be stacked to the rafters with major stars, so we’re looking forward to some primo fashion coverage over the next week or so. Don’t disappoint us, stars. Julianne, you’re fabulous. You can go hit your hotel now.
