Michelle Dockery gets super-fancy for the premiere of Downton Abbey 2: Electrical Boogaloo. We would expect no less from her.
It’s got the kind of high-end, old school glamour that tends to suit her so well. It’s why she always looks so great playing Lady Mary. She was born to wear tiaras and shimmery capes. We have no doubt that the dress and cape both look jaw-dropping in person and loses some of their impact in photographs because of the neutral backing color. We question whether it really works with her coloring. We tend to think that $60,000 worth of cape and dress should provide a little more ooomph than what we’re seeing here. It looks like her team over-corrected for the washed-out effect by really piling on the slap. She looks great with a strong lip and brow but we wonder whether it’s looking a little harsh.
