Adele sheds her usual glamorous diva style (but not her makeup) for a visit with Graham Norton. In doing so, she achieved what we would have considered the impossible.
She made a putty-colored pantsuit look downright chic. We don’t have any shots of her standing, but this is a surprisingly great chat show look. Sitting on such a colorful set certainly helps, because we doubt it would look as good on the standard desk-and-skyline American talk show set. We’re not normally fans of things like split sleeves or pant legs, but we don’t mind them so much here because they give the look the little shot of interest it needs. We love the jewelry and the coordinating gold manicure. Most of what makes this pantsuit pop for us here comes down to how it was styled.
It seems a lot of kittens are not in love with her makeup style, going by the responses to her recent “IN or OUT?” post, but the lady likes a little slap, a little gold, and a killer manicure at all times. All the best divas have certain style elements they almost never abandon, which is why it’s so easy to compare all of the biggest ones (Barbra, Liza, Cher, Madonna) to drag queens. It’s part of what makes them divas.
