Meghan Markle in Carolina Herrera at Vax Live

Posted on May 10, 2021

Duchess Megs stepped out – into her backyard, evidently – to show her support for the VAX LIVE concert (at which her hubs got quite the rock star reception):

“The past year has been defined by communities coming together tirelessly and heroically to tackle COVID-19. And we’ve gathered tonight because the road ahead is getting brighter, but it’s going to take every one of us to find our way forward. As campaign chairs of VAX LIVE, my husband and I believe it’s critical that our recovery prioritizes the health, safety and success of everyone, and particularly women who have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic. […] Women, and especially women of color, have seen a generation of economic gain wiped out. Since the pandemic began, nearly 5.5 million women have lost work in the U.S., and 47 million more women around the world are expected to slip into extreme poverty. “

We, for our parts, are more focused on frivolous matters, such as our delight in seeing the Duchess wearing something bright and patterned and lively, as opposed to the sometimes dour and serious ensembles she defaults to.

It’s a really cute look for her. The color looks amazing on her (as all bold colors do) and the style is softly pretty and unassuming while still being bold enough to keep your attention. Sporting some Diana jewelry never hurts when it comes to her daughters-in-law and Meghan’s got the Princess of Wales’ gold Cartier watch on for the occasion. But the more notable piece of jewelry is probably that necklace, which would be consider fairly anodyne on someone else, but is pretty damn political on a member of the royal family. In other news, her hair looks amazing.
