One of the best things to come out of the weird pandemic awards season of 2020/21 was Leslie Odom, Jr’s debut as a major red carpet presence doing his best to change the conversation about menswear. We’re happy to see he’s maintaining the work even after the spotlight of the Oscars has faded.
This isn’t nearly as groundbreaking as some of his other ensembles, but it’s right in line with his most favored preferences: bold color, interesting weights and textures, and a turtleneck, whether the outfit calls for it or not. He looks like he’s using every ounce of will not to sweat in this getup, but it had to have been just a weensy bit uncomfortable. We salute his commitment to beauty. Fashion is pain, darlings.
