Miss Doja Cat went in a quiet and restrained direction for her BBMAs look this year.
Pure understated elegance.
Hey, it’s the BBMAs. As we’ve said many a time, the rules are different for pop stars. Everything’s a costume. Every setting’s a stage. They’re never not on, as opposed to actors, who love nothing more than to remind people that they’re not the characters they play. We would never call this chic, but it’s about as high impact as you can get while still wearing recognizable garments. We love the design of the top, actually. The pants we could take or leave but there are some really interesting elements between the pleated stripes and all that focus-pulling hardware. Speaking of which, we’d say her makeup is perfectly coordinated to her jewelry in a way that indicates there was more thought put into this look than you might assume.
