Miss Lily, who’s always got some sort of interesting little outfit in her promotional arsenal, has a new series launching, which means to hell with the lockdown, she’s going to serve you some looks. We love her style because it’s less “actressy” and more “rich fashion editor,” which makes her stand out in our eyes. Her tastes tend to run toward the quietly chic, with just enough oomph to make her stand out. Very “Nina Garcia,” in fact.

Oof. We’re really gonna have to settle in for a period of puddling pants on women, aren’t we? It’s a shame, because those pants are gorgeous and well-tailored otherwise. For us, however, this look is all about the coat, which is starkly gorgeous. Love the smokey eye and dark lip here. All that gray and starkness can go pretty dreary, but the almost gothy face makes it feel deliberate and thought-out.
OSCAR DE LA RENTA
Tastefully well coordinated, boldly colored, rendered in simple shapes. Very “front row at Fashion Week.” It looks great and it plays well with her own looks. Love the gold jewelry, which pops exactly as much as it should. Our only quibble is with the shoe color. It’s possible they’re a dark brown, but we think they’re too dark for the rest of the outfit.
That looks… very complicated.
