Shoutout to Miss Reese, who not only managed to snag one of the best gowns of the night, but one of the best she’s ever worn.
Sleek and unfussy designs are her style sweet spot, but she still occasionally wanders over to the fussy stuff. This is perfect; sexy and a little kickass somehow. Makeup looks a bit on the harsh side, though.
One thing this awards season has made clear: the sheer panty-baring dresses are no longer all the rage. We’re seeing a lot of satin, a lot of classically sleek beaded gowns, and a lot of old-school column skirts. It’s all so refreshing after years of prairie frocks, ruffle attacks and see-through skirts.
