You know what? Respect, lady. This is a whole hell of a lot of look and we are not fans of overdressing for TV talk shows, but …
… damn, you picked a wild one, didn’t you? This looks like a slightly toned-down version of the runway look, which comes off a lot more interesting to our eyes. The textile is absolutely gorgeous in a weird sort of way, but we have to stick to our guns and say it’s all too distracting and it forces the viewer to make a choice between listening to her or processing whatever it is they’re looking at. You’re there to promote something and a look like this tends to create a lot of noise for the viewer/consumer. We keep saying this lately, largely because stylists are overdoing it routinely, but we’d have rather seen her give something like this a shot for the Grammys.
Having said all that, the hem is an utter mess and the skirt needed to be lined.
