They’re here! And they’re oh so very queer! Yes, Drag Race is coming roaring back into our lives once again with an entirely new crop of queens, whether we’re prepared for it or not. Personally, as two bitches with a Drag Race-related book to sell, we’re always happy to see the show pop up again in the news cycle but as long-time fans, it’s a bit concerning when the online consensus seems to be “SLOW DOWN.” We’d hate to see this cultural phenomenon burn itself out on the public. Although it should be noted, the Drag Race franchise is still riding high on Emmy wins, big ratings, and the critical acclaim afforded to its UK version.

And maybe we’re just a couple of hopelessly optimistic bitches (with a book to sell), but this crop looks fun, a little fresh (not all of them), and a little more diverse in drag styles. There’s creepy drag, scary drag, anime drag, glamour drag, comedy drag, club kid drag and pure, pharmaceutical grade pageant drag on display here. Go ahead and pick your faves now.
