Michael B. Jordan, Brie Larson, and Jamie Foxx at the “Just Mercy” Special New York Celebration

Posted on December 16, 2019

Winter finery was on display at the premiere of this film we’re just learning about right now, kittens. Let’s get up to speed on all of it, shall we?

Michael B. Jordan in Louis Vuitton

Will Smith got to this stunning African continent houndstooth first, but we can’t imagine it’s not going to be a cold-weather red carpet staple for a ton of black actors going forward. It’s so gorgeous that it really doesn’t need anything else to make for a perfect look. Granted, it helps that he’s gorgeous too.

Brie Larson in Alexander McQueen

What a surprisingly spectacular dress. We’re not crazy about the ruffle on the sirt, but the print is gorgeous and the leather sash makes for a slightly kickass touch. We think we could get behind the idea of boots with this dress, but we don’t think those galoshes are doing the job. We’d have rec’d a pair of suede platform boots in a bold red or pink. Stevie Nicks that shit up, we say.

Jamie Foxx

It’s time for us to admit that certain men can work the dreaded turtleneck-and-suit look in a way that most others simply can’t. And if we’re being perfectly honest and blunt about it, we’d point out that those men are almost always men of color. It’s just a look that works. He looks fantastic and we’re pretty sure if a Jonas brother stepped out in this, we’d fall all over ourselves trying to roll our eyes as hard as possible.
