Kittens, the lady with the absolute best name in entertainment was out making a big splash on the Venice Film Festival red carpets for most of the last week. Miss Zazie’s got an eye for the eye-popping and seems to have a very good understanding (or a team with one) of what she can werq when she wants to.

This is just a little off-kilter, but she makes it look simple, pretty and perfect for her. If there’s a throughline to this collection of looks, she clearly has a preference for ruffles and unusual silhouettes, especially up around the bust and sleeves. The print is mumsy and we’re not even sure we’d call it pretty on its own, but the dress is interesting and eye-catching. The hem’s awkward, though. Granted, not as awkward as those hellshoes, but still.

Granted, this look doesn’t have any ruffles and the silhouette is pure body-con, setting it somewhat apart from her other efforts. It’s also drop-dead gorgeous and sexy. Her team knows that one of the best, most versatile tools in her style arsenal is her hair, which is just superbly styled here.

Again with the goofy puffy sleeve action. Paired with the low bust, we should be railing against it all, but she’s got the knack. It works for her. Once again, the shoes and hem feel a little awkward.

Just pure, straight-up, pharmaceutical-grade fabulous. The dress is ENTIRELY too much but girlfriend has a knack for going extra and getting away with it. The colors are gorgeous on her; the shades and hair are perfect accompaniments/finishing touches. Can’t say we love the smocked waist, but she’s savvy enough to work the proportions and keep the eye away from it. A simply unforgettable look that seems magically suited to her and no one else. Just look at the model in the runway shot. It looks ridiculous on her. Such is the magic of the Zazie.
