We got to the end of our blogging roster yesterday, saw that this look was still in the pipeline, and turned toward each other to say “Wait, why did we pick this for the spotlight?”
Indeed, yesterday’s T Lo. Indeed. Why DID we pick this to spotlight. No offense to Miss Dakota or her style team, but upon a second look, we find this to be just a bit generic. It’s got drama to it, which is why we first noticed it. And we certainly wouldn’t say she looks bad in it. But she does so much better with memorable, statement-making fashion. The weird stuff and the loud stuff and the goofy stuff. She’s kind of like Allison Williams in the way that she goes completely catalogue-model generic in fashion that doesn’t have a strong point of view.
