A parade of randoms in mediocre finery, darlings! Let’s judge them! Just for shits n’ giggles!
Resting on pretty, now and forevermore.
Christina Aguilera in Gareth Pugh
She’s serving up ’80s pop star and we kind of dig it, but the coat’s huge on her and the boots are too heavy.
Gabrielle Union in Georges Chakra
Why Miss Gabrielle, this is almost elegant, if you can call a sequined jumpsuit such a thing. Sorry to sound surprised, but these AGT events aren’t exactly a night at the opera.
Gabrielle Union in Jenny Packham
Also digging the Studio 54 realness-serving, Miss Thing.
Halle Bailey and Chloe Bailey
Excuse us, but the only thing happening in these pics worth mentioning are the breast potholders. What even ARE those?
This is why we were surprised to see Gabrielle Union looking so tasteful, for what it’s worth.
Julianne Hough in Elisabetta Franchi
But to be fair, she really is well-suited to these tacky-glam ’80s styles.
Keke Palmer in Cinq à Sept
We usually hate tassles, but we think the shape and style of this dress is great for her. The color and textile, on the other hand, are kind of awful.
Lake Bell in Loewe
Time-traveled here directly from 1996, it would appear.
Liv Tyler in Stella McCartney
She looks great with the bangs, but this is a piss-poor showing for a co-starring role in a critically-buzzed movie that has you standing on a red carpet next to Ruth Negga. Step it up, elf queen.
Lucy Hale in Christopher Kane
She has such a knack for working these preciously cute looks.
Maisie Williams in Christopher Kane
Oof. Honey, this is all making you look a little scary and a little crazy.
We know the skirt is gimmicky but we can’t help it. We think it looks cute on her.
Yikes. The suit is tight, the satin shirt looks terrible on them (and DEFINITELY needs to be buttoned up) and the boots don’t go with any of it. It all feels randomly attention-seeking.
Hmm. We think you can do better than this, Miss Sharon. Your tassels look random and those shoes are kind of hideous.
Tika Sumpter in Zimmermann
This is a whole hell of a lot of look, but somehow, she’s managing all of it without looking overwhelmed.
Tika Sumpter in Zuhair Murad
We’d go so far as to she’s got a gift for wearing looks that are either overdesigned or otherwise too much in some way. She’s the queen of extra. A ruffled white lace off-the-shoulder jumpsuit sounds like an awful thing, but she’s actually making it work.
