Miss Kirsten has a big, attention and possibly award-grabbing project coming out soon, so she’s out there doing the promo thing, like a hard-working star should. We’ve seen a good chunk of her new Showtime limited series On Becoming a God in Central Florida and while we think the audience might find parts of the show a little hard to take, there’s no denying that Kirsten gives an Emmy-worthy performance. We’ll have more to say on that closer to the show’s premiere on the 25th. For now, let’s talk dresses!

Hmm. We feel like this dress has real possibilities, but it’s not quite working here. It doesn’t feel like a day dress at all, but that’s nothing new for the morning talk show set. The white isn’t super-great for her coloring. And the bottom half of the skirt tips the whole dress into “overdesigned” territory. But we feel like a different sort of shoe and an entirely different hairstyle could make this pretty striking on her. Here, not so much.

Girlfriend’s definitely feeling the two-toned slingback this week. We like this pair better than the previous, with the ankle strap. We also like this dress much more. Not loving the white bag and we’re still feeling like a total hair rethink is in order, but this is a cute look overall.

Well alright then. We had nothing to do with it, but we feel like she listened to our pleading. Her hair looks great here — and that’s coming from two queens with a thing about hairbows on adults. We’re also not huge fans of sheer skirts, but this one sort of works for us. Like the similarly colored Nicole Kidman, Kirsten looks fantastic in black. The one part that truly bugs is the silhouette. We get that she prefers a relaxed one, but we feel like the combination black, puffy shoulder and floofy skirt calls for a bit more of a defined silhouette. The top half just hangs.
