You can look at this one of two ways. Either, Orlando is phoning it in and ten years behind the times in his grooming choices or you can take the more charitable view and say that he knows when he’s outmatched on the red carpet and is just letting his co-star do one of the things she does best.
And look, we get that her gown is not to everyone’s tastes. We have certainly had more than a few harsh words to say about see-through dresses over the years. It’s not that we love this design so much as we find it absolutely dead-perfect for her. It’s got that slightly off-kilter sci-fi vibe that she’s so good at working. With that hair and face, this dress has met its match. They just go together, even if we do think the design is nearly unwearable. That’s kind of her thing, making the unwearable look somehow effortlessly chic in an otherworldly sort of way.
What could he possibly do to match that?
