We gave the ladystars (Jennifer, Sophie, Jessica) the spotlight, but it’s time to judge some of the other castmembers for their style efforts. We promise to go easy on them, darlings.
HAHA no we don’t.
Alexandra Shipp in Christopher John Rogers
Cute. Yes, it’s prom-y, but she’s young enough to pull it off and the bustline gives it a Westwood-like high-fashion feel. The color looks great on her too. Not too sure about the Cinderella shoes, though.
Eva Peters in Saint Laurent
Sir, you had us until we got to the footwear. Truth be told, we’re not sold on the hair either. But hey, you got the outfit right.
Halston Sage in Raisa & Vanessa
Oh no. That is ENTIRELY too much white lace trim over a beaded black sheer. The very IDEA, kittens.
James McAvoy
Lawyer at Happy Hour. Yes, he’s hot, but he could try just a bit more.
Kodi-Smit McPhee
Honestly, we kind of love it. He is almost certainly going to regret it in 15 or so years, but for now, the boy made a huge splash. There’s a time in your life when you should embrace things like entire outfits made of purple denim or faux nipple rings as a chic accessory.
Michael Fassbender
Like almost all of his suiting, it gives the impression that he slept on the floor of his limo on the way over, but the idea of it’s not that bad, even if it is a bit too monochromatic for our taste. If this was all crisply well-fitted, we’d have no issue with it.
Nicholas Hoult
Okay, the suiting on this red carpet is officially wack. A bold and bright ’70s-style suit is a huge surprise coming from him. We’re afraid the overwhelming Saturday Night Fever qualities of the suit truly need to be appreciated in a walking-down-the-street moment rather than a posed red carpet, but we give him all the credit in the world for going there.
Tye Sheridan
Sure, okay. Show up to your teen superhero movie looking like a film executive. We give up.
