We still don’t love that belt, but that’s not the point here. The point is to create another perfectly Parisian moment for Madame Celine to shine. A little moment of campy chicness from behind a row of velvet ropes. If we honestly thought she was spending more than 30 minutes wearing those shoes, we’d urge her to give herself a break, but this is quite un-self-consciously staged and she’s just so good at working the machinery of celebrity and making it all seem funny or more fabulous than it actually is. Go on, Madame. WERQ that sidewalk.
