These two are deploying an age-old red carpet trick for actors who just made a big splash giving stunning performances while more or less looking like shit. They hotted themselves back up:
When last we saw them, they were both in their sixties and one of them was dying in the other’s arms. We don’t blame them for coming out a little strong for the FYC event celebrating their performances. Not that she ever fails to look appropriate and stylish (even if we don’t always agree with her choices). The skirt and top are fairly low-key and demure, but she’s zhuzhed up that pixie cut considerably. It looks great a little looser and fuller on her, but the part is weird, no? As for him, he had much greater reason to step it up since he really did look pretty bad through most of Fosse/Verdon. This isn’t too over-the-top, but it’s a nicely colorful and textural without trying too hard. The buzz cut, however, does nothing for him.
