Miss Sophie wore an “It’s MY WEEK, bitches” ensemble and her co-stars wisely opted to cede the floor to her.
Which isn’t to say that Miss Jessica is slacking off here. Nor are we inclined to read too much into Fassbender or McAvoy’s cab driver drag, since they both tend to dress like that all the time. But Sophie loves using fashion to snag spotlight time and since her starring role in a superhero film was planned to go into heavy PR rotation just as her defining role on the hugely popular Game of Thrones came to an end, Miss Girl knew what she had to do. Go big and go loud. Also, legs. We love the look, even if the saddle bags and boob flaps make it more than a bit overdesigned. If you took them away, it all might come off a bit generic.
We don’t know if Jessica really opted to play things down out of deference to Sophie, but despite the boldness of the color, this feels like an uncharacteristically dowdy sort of dress for her.
