She may have fashioned so hard last week that we wound up pitting her against herself in a showdown (that you should really vote on if you haven’t already), but Miss Elle was not finished serving the lewks. For her final victory lap, she opted to take her princess drag in a decidedly bridal direction.
We’re usually the first queens to point out some white beaded gown on the red carpet looks way too bridal, but even though this is actually a for-real bridal gown, she’s keeping it away from being too literal. Part of that comes down to the severe hair and brilliant sapphire jewelry, but a lot of it just comes down to the fact that she wears pale, beaded, romantic princess gowns all the time so this just looks like more of the same. Personally, it’s not setting us on fire. It’s a beautiful gown, but … we don’t know. We feel like it’s just a paler version of her own style. She’s good at the princessy stuff to be sure, but she’s much better when she’s embracing a little more color and modernity, we think. We can’t point to anything we truly dislike here, it’s just … not very exciting to us, we guess.
