The Duke and Duchess of Sussex make their first joint appearance of 2019 as they visit the town of Birkenhead to meet with local organizations.
She remembered about COLORS, you guys!
Just look at this bold, bright lady!
If there’s one T Lo Fashion Dictum that sits above all others, it’s this: What you like may not like you back and what you dislike may in fact be your best friend. Miss Duchess? Somewhere along the way, as you journeyed from actress to duchess, you got it in your head that neutrals and non-colors were the best way for you to go. But we’re here to tell you, they just don’t love you the way the rainbow loves you. You are someone who comes alive when she’s wearing bold, rich colors. You pop in pictures and your own coloring responds well to them. And considering how unbelievable dull Harry’s own style choices are, it tends to make for a more interesting visual as you make public appearances.
The funny thing is, if we were handing out technical crits, we might normally note that these are not necessarily the best colors for you (we maintain that deep jewel tones are where you’re at, Duchess), but it really doesn’t matter because any colors at all mark an improvement over the relentless funeral wear and business wear you tend to rely on.
But no, the bag doesn’t go. Not really.
