We’re going to give it to you straight (you’ll forgive the term) right up front: This is an okay look. The only reason we’re giving Miss Katy the spotlight is because we wound up yelling at her the last few times we encountered her so we figure we owe her one when she gets it mostly right. Or mostly okay, at least.
Are you titillated and scintillated as to what’s coming next, based on our tantalizing opening paragraph, darlings? The masters of the backhanded compliment, that’s us!
See what we mean? It’s good, but not great. Somehow, she managed to make a slinky, sparkly Balmain dress seem a little basic, but just about everything she wears is going to look like that if she insists on that hairstyle and color, neither of which suit her. In fact, this look would come off entirely different if she just switched her color out for something darker and more dramatic. The shoes are fun, but we think they’d come off sexier peeking out from a slit, floor length skirt.
