Zosia Mamet’s Low-Key Focus-Pull at the “A Quiet Place” New York Premiere

Posted on April 03, 2018

Brace yourselves. It gets awfully tricky as you scroll down.

But we might have over-sold the caution on this one, considering how low-key it is, not to mention how little of a disaster it is. Relatively speaking, we mean. When held up against her entire red carpet history, this is all fairly tame. Even so, it’s pretty goofy from the waist down. We’ll say right now that we love the sort of punk-witchy boots, even though we don’t think anything about this look really sets them off. The sweater looks like she grabbed it off a laundry pile at the last second. Then there’s the jeans situation.

We think we could be convinced on this pair, but not with that sad cuff and definitely not paired with any of the other items here. Basically, the top half of this look is entirely forgettable and the bottom half is composed of two strong pieces that fight with each other.

And that is probably entirely too much analysis of such a simple look. But we feel like those boots deserve a second chance.
