We’re not the biggest fans of tricky skirts – especially tricky leather skirts – but we’re digging this one, for some reason.
Olivia Munn attends the Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice 2014 Awards at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California in a J. Mendel midnight forest halter top and leather skirt from the Fall 2014 collection paired with a Monica Rich Kosann clutch, Brian Atwood gold pumps, and EF Collection jewelry.
It does kind of look like a leather tablecloth from the front, but the shape and the color look really great on her. It’s a shame that the top half of the dress looks like an after thought. A skirt like that asks for something simpler than that up top. And it looks a little disheveled. Oh, well. It’s not a bad entry in the “trying to look hot and chic at the same time” sweepstakes. Love the shoes – but the non-matching gold clutch really makes our eyelids twitch. Far be it for us to argue in favor of matching all your accessories, but you do need to be careful with competing metallics or blacks.
The pin-straight, center-parted hair became, shall we say, over-represented in recent years, but it suits her perfectly.
