The Devil Wears Prada 2 stars Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway headed to Tokyo for the premiere and we’re afraid we have some bad news to report. It would appear that they’re going to dress in clown fashion for this tour. Brace yourself for the worst thing Mary Louise Streep has ever worn in public:
MERYL STREEP IN CHANEL

No, ma’am. Absolutely not. Everything about this look is horrifying, but you should have heard the gasps when we saw the shots with the raised arm. As if that print wasn’t ugly enough or that fringe wasn’t overwhelming her visually, they had to go and add an eye-searing color to the back of it for no reason. Absolutely nothing about this look appeals and this is what happens when people who aren’t much into fashion try to do a high-fashion look. They think it has to be outrageous and impractical because that’s what they think fashion is. Her stylist should know better. The shoes are not the worst part, but they’re a terrible choice.

ANNE HATHAWAY IN VALENTINO COUTURE

CLOWN. That skirt is terrible and the idea of pairing it with those Rockstuds is so self-evidently awful that we’re afraid these two have gotten themselves into some sort of Zoolander-esque fashion-mocking vibe and honestly, if that’s how they’re going to promote this thing, it doesn’t speak well of their understanding of the original’s appeal.
