We noted the other day that Big Mistakes star Dan Levy was clearly trying to get away from the David Rose style that’s defined his look for most of the last decade. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to get away from your signature style and any attempts to come up with some sort of radically new look for yourself bear the risk of leading you straight down the path of style disasters. It ain’t good. Putting aside our intense dislike of seeing that much beige on anyone, the whole look would be instantly improved with dark brown footwear. Matching the boots to the shirt makes this look more like a character costume than an outfit. The pieces all look nice enough on him, but that non-color story is awful. This is what happens when someone who hates to wear color tries to excise black from their wardrobe. Just wear a color, Dan. It won’t hurt, we promise.
